This year has been designated the UN’s International Year of Light and to mark the occasion, Vienna is hosting Wien leuchtet 2015. The event sees two of the Austrian capital’s most recognisable buildings – the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Naturhistorisches Museum – bathed in a spectacular light show.
The themes of the projections vary according to the museums themselves so while the former focuses on art and culture, the latter is a series of sea life, birds and dinosaur skeletons. Well worth checking out if you’re in the area.
Event runs until October 26. For further information visit the wien.gv.at website.
