I snapped this on my iPhone on the way to my other half’s parents in Penistone, South Yorkshire. I like it because the sky looks like a watercolour painting, with thick brushstrokes of amber, blue and grey.
But look closer and you’ll see the turbines of the Royd Moor wind farm. These enormous towers, standing a majestic 54m above the hilltop, seem dwarfed against a radiant sky.
Just goes to show you don’t always need a top notch camera to capture the beauty of the world around you.
